Artist Bio

Sam Blaisdell creates bold, large-scale, expressive paintings built around movement, strong forms, and immediate visual impact. His work ranges from energetic abstractions to character-driven pieces with a symbolic, almost iconic presence. Across both approaches, he aims for work that feels alive, direct, and visually charged.

Sam works through a physical, intuitive process- starting with quick gesture and refining pieces through repeated passes until the rhythm feels right. His abstract work builds energy through movement and layered mark-making, while his simplified, character-based figures introduce a more graphic, structured counterpoint. Together they show a range that moves between loose spontaneity and bold, iconic form.
